Key Things to Know
- Transfers take 5-7 business days to finish.
- Transfers started after 1 PM EST will add an extra business day to the process.
- Weekends and holidays don’t count as business days.
How ACH Transfers Work with Avestor (with Dwolla)
For Investors Adding Money (Deposits)

Day 1 (Business Day):
- Before 1 PM EST: You start the transfer on Avestor.
- After 1 PM EST: The transfer starts the next business day.

Days 2-4:
- The ACH processor works behind the scenes to move the money.

Day 5:
- Your funds reach the fund’s bank account.

Day 6:
- The transfer shows as “completed” in Avestor.
For Funds Sending Money to Investors (Distributions)

- The fund manager starts the transfer on Avestor.

- The ACH processor moves the money.

- The money arrives in your bank account.

Bank Holidays and Their Impact on Transfers

If a Bank Holiday Falls on a Weekday:
Payments initiated on a holiday (e.g., Thanksgiving Day) won’t process until the next business day.
Example: A transfer started on Thursday, November 28, 2024, will begin processing on Friday, November 29. -
If a Bank Holiday Falls on a Weekend:
- For holidays on Saturday, banks observe the holiday on Friday.
- For holidays on Sunday, banks observe the holiday on Monday.
